My Houstonian babes, one of the best weekends to be outside is almost here. That's right, 713 Day is creeping up, and we've been working behind the scenes like little Houston elves to put together some really fun events, giveaways, and surprises to celebrate the city we all love. Trust me, you're going to want to clear some room on your calendar. More to come soon… 🤫
This giveaway lineup is genuinely stacked. We've got gift cards, Black Swan Yoga and Pilates classes, Museum of Illusions experiences, concert tickets, and a whole lot more. Consider this your official reminder that you can't win if you don't enter.
JUST ANNOUNCED
On August 7, Austin favorites Del Castillo bring their fiery blend of flamenco, Latin rock, blues, and world music to The Heights Theater. Let the guitars do the talking for the night.
Phillip Phillips returns to Houston on September 11 with the heartfelt songwriting and rootsy sound that made "Home" an anthem. Dust off those lyrics you've somehow never forgotten.
Automatic heads to Houston on September 13 with icy synths, pulsing basslines, and the art-rock sound that's made the L.A. trio an indie favorite. Prepare to dance a little differently.
Arin Ray takes the stage at Warehouse Live Midtown on October 2 with the soulful sound that earned collaborations with Kehlani, Ty Dolla $ign, and DRAM. Put your phone away and stay in the moment.
Plus other just announced shows in Houston by Henry Moodie, Takuya Nakamura, and Joe Jordan!
WHERE TO WATCH FIREWORKS THIS WEEKEND
Do you ever feel like a plastic bag? No? Just me? Either way, it's almost time to channel your inner Katy Perry because fireworks season is here. We've rounded up the best spots around Houston to watch the sky light up, whether you're after a huge celebration, a family-friendly evening, or the perfect picnic setup. Baby, you're a firework... just hopefully not the one setting them off.

4TH OF JULY WEEKEND
LOCALS ONLY
Good news if you've been waiting for Houston's official Pride Parade. After getting rained out earlier this month and delayed again because of World Cup-related scheduling, Pride Houston 365 has officially rescheduled the parade for August 15. Time to mark those calendars and get the rainbow outfits ready.
