Daily Email - Tuesday - 05/12/2026

I leave for Paris in literally two weeks and instead of being excited and romanticizing my little café moments ☕️🥐, I keep seeing posts about Europe apparently only having six weeks of fuel left??? And the reports started back in mid-April, which somehow makes this feel worse 😭 So now I need to know, do y’all think my flight’s getting cancelled, am I about to get stranded in Paris coming back, or do I simply need to calm my ass down and log off TikTok for a few hours?

Anyway, if you’re trying to secure a way more fun travel situation, this is your sign to enter for VIP tickets to OUTLOUD 2026 🎤🌈 We’re talking WeHo Pride with The Pussycat Dolls, Jade, Ava Max, and more, plus a hotel stay and $600 for travel. Honestly kind of the ideal way to kick off Pride Month. Don’t miss your chance!*

50 THINGS (LEFT) TO DO IN MAY

We’re somehow almost halfway through May, but Houston clearly didn’t get the memo because there’s still so much happening. From concerts and comedy shows to markets, movie nights, and random plans that turn into the best nights ever, the calendar is still packed. Whether you’ve been staying in lately or fully booked every weekend, there’s plenty left to look forward to this month.

LOCALS ONLY

  • There’s a new soccer-themed entertainment district being built in South Houston ahead of the World Cup, and while Houstonians are already side-eyeing whether it’ll actually be finished in time ⚽️😭, it still sounds like a fun addition either way. The plans include watch parties, restaurants, pickleball, padel courts, and basically a giant hangout spot for people who want somewhere to eat, drink, and be outside. Even if the World Cup timing flops a little, the concept still feels like an addition to Houston’s culture.
