This fall season has me acting up. I’ve literally started using both a physical planner AND my Google Calendar to write down the events I’m committing to because there are just soooo many things happening. Apparently I need two separate systems to manage my social life now lol.

I’m even going to sporting events, which, if you know me, you know how strange that is. The University of Houston Cougars take on Southern at TDECU Stadium on September 12, and we’re giving away a pair of tickets! Enter now and come see if football can officially convert me.*

• Houston’s rhythm takes center stage at LA Cultura Cura: Ritmo de Houston at White Oak Music Hall on September 19. Spend your Saturday celebrating culture, community, and music all night long. Come see what Houston sounds like.

• The Jonas Brothers are running it back with The Burning Up Tour All Over Again at Toyota Center on November 8. If you were there from the Disney Channel days, consider this your reunion. Dust off the JoBros merch.

• Tuesday is getting considerably moodier. Lil Tracy hits House of Blues Houston on November 24, bringing years of emo-rap favorites to the stage. Pull out the eyeliner and give your 2010s internet era a proper night out.

• Houston’s own Ali Siddiq is closing out 2026 with Kam Patterson and Roy Wood Jr. at Smart Financial Centre on December 31. Three seriously funny comedians in one night? Start the new year laughing.

• Handies Douzo is making room for even MORE hand rolls. The Houston-born sushi spot is expanding to Bellaire Boulevard, joining its Heights, Montrose, and Spring Branch locations. The new location at 3908 Bellaire Blvd. is expected to open in late 2026 or early 2027, giving us another place to get our sushi fix.
