I was working from a coffee shop yesterday and decided to put on TLC's "Unpretty." The second the music started, I was instantly transported back to my 10-year-old bedroom, absolutely belting that song into my little boombox like I had any idea what I was talking about. Childhood was truly just vibes.
Speaking of TLC... we're giving away a pair of tickets to see TLC & Salt-N-Pepa with En Vogue at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on October 4. Three legendary groups, one stage, and a night that's basically guaranteed to unlock a few core memories. Go sing it live and in person. 🎤✨
JUST ANNOUNCED
You already know Zack Fox isn't showing up to play it safe. See him DJ at Ductwork on September 25 and prepare to sweat through your outfit before you even realize it's midnight.
Everybody rejoice! The Wiz returns with dazzling choreography, powerhouse vocals, and a fresh take on the beloved classic. Catch it at Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land on November 1 and leave humming the whole drive home.
Halocene has built a massive following by turning rock and metal covers into full-blown anthems, while their original music hits just as hard. Catch them at The Secret Group on November 18 and prepare to temporarily lose your voice.
Afrojack doesn't do low energy. The global EDM heavyweight lands at Ductwork on November 20 with massive drops, festival anthems, and enough bass to convince you tomorrow's problems can wait.
Plus other just announced shows in Houston!
GO FOR THE INSTAGRAM PICS, STAY FOR THE ART
Sure, you'll leave with a great photo dump—but don't rush through it. Houston's immersive art museums are packed with interactive exhibits, mind-bending installations, and colorful spaces that are just as fun to experience as they are to post. Consider this your guide to galleries that deserve more than a quick selfie. 🌈

THIS WEEKEND

What’s your go-to karaoke song? I’m going tomorrow and I’m debating if I want to do “Unpretty” in tears to my audience or screamo… I have the range.
Cheers,
Pamela
