Hello friends! I really thought I was about to do the most this weekend and instead I thrifted for art, ordered DoorDash, and stayed home watching shows. The second that heavy rain hit, I said “nah, I’m good” and turned on my comfort show Charmed (early 2000s, obviously). What have y’all been watching lately? I need recommendations before I finish because I get way too attached to the characters and emotionally wrecked when a show ends.
I did not go out, but I did get a little dopamine hit from thrifting. And when I say I found the mother of all thrifted art, I mean it. I’ll make a video haul and show you everything soon.
If you are looking for your own dopamine spike, I have a giveaway for you and it literally ends today. It is for PlantCon Houston at NRG Stadium April 25 through 26. Enter now for a chance to win Early Entry passes, which get you in early both days, your pick of free PlantCon merch, a special badge with a lanyard, and early access to workshop sign-ups before they fill up.

PLANT SHOPS IN HOUSTON TO CELEBRATE EARTH DAY

Photo via Fabio Gomes Trindade
There are a handful of plant shops in Houston that people keep coming back to, and it is not by accident. They are thoughtful about what they carry and how they show up, which makes a difference. You will find everything from Black-owned boutiques to niche spots that feel a little more curated. It is the kind of place you walk into and actually want to stay for a minute. If you are into plants or trying to be, these are worth checking out.
