NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION DAY IS TOMORROW

National Voter Registration Day is September 15, so consider this your reminder to make sure you’re vote-ready! We put together a Houston guide with everything you need to register, check your status, update your information, and find local resources. Harris County is also hosting registration events across the area, making it easy to get it handled. The deadline to register for the November election is October 5, so don’t wait until the last minute.

• Houston’s Ismaili Center has a new all-day cafe. Tapestry opened September 8 at the Ismaili Center on Allen Parkway with indoor and courtyard seating plus a menu featuring chapli kolaches, paratha breakfast tacos, biryani and other dishes.

• Underbelly Burger closed its Spring Branch location on Sunday. The Houston restaurant announced September 13 would be its final day of service. Its original Houston Farmers Market location also appears to have closed earlier this year.
