Checking in from San Diego! I came home to visit family and briefly remember what ocean air feels like, but somehow I've spent half the trip sending Houston events to my friends with, "Ugh... I wish I was there." That Bald Kitty day party? Exactly the kind of thing that's making me homesick. Houston really knows how to have a good time.
Speaking of future plans, my November calendar is officially unavailable. Breakaway Houston is coming, and we're hooking one lucky winner up with a pair of VIP passes. Go enter now so we can both have something to look forward to. 💃⚡
JUST ANNOUNCED
Lord Buffalo turns psychedelic rock, Americana, and cinematic folk into something completely transportive. Catch them at Dan Electro's on October 1 and disappear into their world for the night.
If your ideal Saturday includes art, live music, and small-town charm, Texas Arts & Music Festival is calling. Head to Downtown Brenham on October 17 and make a day of discovering your next favorite Texas artist.
Prince Daddy & the Hyena have built a cult following with their blend of power pop, punk, and emotionally unfiltered songwriting. See them at White Oak Music Hall on November 15 before the room starts shaking.
Beats Antique turns every show into a full-on spectacle, blending live electronic music, world rhythms, and mesmerizing performance art. Catch them at Bad Astronaut Brewing on December 4 and expect way more than just a DJ set.
Plus other just announced shows in Houston!
SHOP LOCAL: MARKETS IN HOUSTON
There's just something about wandering a market with an iced coffee in one hand and absolutely no plan in the other. Whether you're hunting for farm-fresh produce, vintage treasures, handmade jewelry, local art, fresh flowers, or that one trinket you definitely don't need but somehow can't leave without, Houston's markets always deliver. We've rounded up the best farmers markets, flea markets, artisan pop-ups, and neighborhood favorites worth making a weekend out of. 🌼

Well, excuse me while I slam this laptop shut, go frolic on the beach, and pretend Monday doesn't exist for just a little bit longer. See you back here tomorrow. 🌊
