WAKE UP, IT'S PRIDE MONTH ✨ While plenty of companies are busy dusting off their rainbow logos for the next 30 days, I want to remind y’all to show some love to the local LGBTQ+ businesses that make Houston special year-round. Case in point: Michael’s Cookie Jar, which currently has an entire lineup of Pride-themed treats that I fully intend on sampling this week in the name of journalism.

Pride is a good reminder that showing up for the LGBTQ+ community isn't something we do just in June. We support local businesses, local artists, local organizations, and each other all year long. I hope y’all have the best month, make some great memories, and keep that same energy going long after the rainbow decorations come down.

Speaking of Pride Month excellence... we're giving away something HUGE ✨ RuPaul's Drag Race Werq The World is coming to 713 Music Hall, and one lucky winner is getting a VIP Meet & Greet PLUS two tickets to the show. Yes, actual meet-the-queens energy. Enter now and start planning the look.

JUST ANNOUNCED

  • AEW Dynamite & Collision body-slams into Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land on June 17 with championship drama, surprise appearances, and enough finishers to keep the crowd on its feet all night. Bring your loudest wrestling opinions.*

  • Lunar Vacation lands at Meow Wolf on September 12 with dreamy indie tracks, fuzzy guitars, and songs that feel like a late-night conversation you accidentally think about for weeks. Bring your most introspective friend.

  • Chanel Beads takes over White Oak Music Hall on October 7 with hypnotic indie sounds and the kind of music that makes everyone in the crowd look like they’re in an A24 movie. Dress for the part.

  • Bryson Tiller, Majid Jordan, and Ty Dolla $ign bringing The Neo Trapsoul Tour to The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on October 15 for a stacked night of R&B favorites and tracks that instantly transport you back to a very specific era of your life. Charge your phone and protect your peace.
