Howdy, Houstonians! I’m Pamela (not Pam), the newest member of the Do713 team (it’s my first week - please be gentle). I’m the one curating the best things to do around the city for you. When I’m not writing these emails or helping run our socials, I’m usually OUTSIDE taking art workshops, going to concerts, checking out underground parties, thrifting, or attempting to befriend the crows at Buffalo Bayou Park.
Now that you know a little about me, I want to get to know you. Houston is the most beautifully diverse city in the country, so we’re starting a new series next week called How to Do713 with the Locals, spotlighting real Houstonians and their favorite things to do around the city.
Every week we’ll spotlight a different local who’s part of Houston’s ever-growing, culturally fluent scene. They’ll share five of their favorite things to do, places to eat, spots to explore, and people you should probably know. Think of it as getting the inside scoop from the city itself.
LAST CHANCE FESTIVAL GIVEAWAY
Only two weeks away from the biggest art event in Houston, where Sam Houston Park turns into an outdoor art gallery, you’ll get to sample food vendors and meet other local creatives, all while being outside! Enter for a chance to win tickets to the Bayou City Arts Festival!*

Is it just me, or has this week felt like the longest week ever? So happy the sun is out longer, but damn, I’m tired y’all.
